The demand
The association “Lumières sur l’info” aims to fight against the transmission of fake news to a young audience. For this, journalists intervene in schools. Often, young people receive all kinds of posts and links on their smartphones without even realizing that they are news. The journalists teach them how to recognize a news item and how to trace it back to its source in order to evaluate if it is true or false. From this exciting association’s work was born the idea of creating a program about fake news aimed at a teenage audience.
Zebra’s response
We have therefore created a YouTube channel that extends the experience of “Lumières sur l’info” and democratizes this process of verifying information by oneself. To do this, we looked for two young people ready to invest themselves fully in the fight against fake news: Scotty and Maïssa. Then we created a set of teenagers’ room, in which our films are made.
It is a program that is declined on several platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.
