The director, Maïla Mendy, had received a grant from the France Foundation to develop her first documentary. The film tells the story of executioners and their victims during the civil war in Sierra Leone.

What seems to be a just tell from a faraway land is in reality a story that concerns all of us, because it raises the question of reconciliation. We helped Maïla Mendy bring out the essential aspects and make this film accessible to everyone.
