The zebra's idea
In the Philippines, they are called “white fish”, the children born from relationships between European, American or Australian sex tourists and Filipino prostitutes. These children are often lighter-skinned than their classmates and they are discriminated. The fate of these children, most of the time abandoned by their fathers, particularly touched us and we wanted to make a film about them.
Zebra’s response
We stayed several weeks in the old Philippine town of Angeles City, capital of prostitution. We followed the destinies of three children and their mothers, who live in absolute poverty. And we found two of the fathers…
