The demand
After the attacks of 2015, the German channel WDR wanted to understand why radical Islam could be so popular with young people in the French suburbs.
Zebra’s response
We followed a group of boys in the Paris suburbs. They let us into their circle and told us about their lives, which oscillate between the hope of becoming a rapping star and despair in the face of a society from which they feel excluded. Some are tempted by hateful logic.
