The problem
Nowadays, teenagers mainly get their news from social media. However, social media poses certain risks, particularly that of polarisation. Debates are becoming increasingly hostile, and it is difficult to distinguish fact from fiction.
Our proposal
We are currently developing CLARO, a new social network that meets ethical standards. CLARO offers the opportunity to explore a single topic from multiple perspectives and to engage in discussion with an algorithm that encourages reasoned debate. CLARO is also a resource centre that explains how the media works.
